Transformation Church of St. Augustine (TCSA) came into existence on May 4, 2008, and affiliated with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), with headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on the following June 10. The church is a member of the Sonshine Network Ministries, an IPHC conference, with headquarters in Apopka, Florida. It came about as a group of believers got together with a deep spiritual hunger and an overwhelming desire to see revival and transformation come to St. Augustine. TCSA is a pentecostal church where the Spirit of the Lord has liberty. TCSA is a church that committed itself to giving at least 10% of its income to missions at home and around the world, although it is a brand new home missions project itself. TCSA is all about partnering with other Bible preaching churches and believers to proclaim the transforming love of Christ. TCSA is a church in the heart of the city, with the city at heart.
The founding pastors of the church are Mark and Tammie Little, who have served in pastoral ministry for more than 30 years. They have been married for 28 years and have two children, Mark, Jr., 23, and Stephanie, 11. Pastor Little has also served as an evangelist having preached in more than 125 churches in 12 states. The Little's have a God-given call to St. Augustine and recognizing it, a group of people called them to be their pastors in March 2008. They accepted the call to be the pastors of this new, fledgling church some six weeks later. After that, the blessing of the Lord became more and more evident. The first blessing was the provision of a storefront facility that was affordable to this new group which had no means of support, except from God Himself. He has given this new church favor in the community. His blessing is a clear indicator that He has plans for this new and exciting church. After the church began, God began to bless it with abundance. Within a matter of weeks, the church had an internet website, a Sunday School, Women's Ministries group, involvement with community outreaches, the ability to provide financial offerings and encouragement to other churches which were hurting and struggling, a growing children's ministries, and a monthly newsletter, just to list a few things that God had provided. Not only that, but as the church was entering its fourth month in existence, Alpha and Omega Miracle House, a local ministry for unwed and pregnant mothers, donated a 12 passenger van to the church. TCSA is looking to the day in which it will have to go to two Sunday morning services. The God-given vision is great and expectation within its people is fervent in intensity. Without a doubt, the Transformation Church of St. Augustine is called of God to make a spiritual impact in this area and be a leader in the current unity and revival movments that are taking place. |
